Vasan Hospital introduces latest technology in Eye Care

Sri Lanka’s first ever one-stop hospital to meet all eye care needs Vasan Eye Care Hospital recently acquired state-of-the-art testing machinery from globally renowned ZEISS to enhance its facilities at the Colombo center. The brand new Cirrus OCT-6000 and OCT-400 are technologically advanced scanners that are used in top eye care facilities around the world. Both brand new machines will be used for patient scanning at the Vasan Eye Care Hospital in Colombo. Benefits of the machines include the ability to spot small areas of pathology, the ability to see the tissue from different perspectives, the ability to visualize the fovea and the Zeiss algorithms that extract millions of data points for accurate segmentation, reproducible measurements, and registration for change analysis.
